چکیده

This paper discusses the problem of motion processing and proposes the use of a mathematical model, which describes a motion signal as a path with variable harmonic components. We show that this model is quite suited to representing a motion path as a periodic part with additional motion texture (noise), as described in [18]. This provides a good mathematical formulation to the idea of “motion content”. We also describe some mathematical tools that can be used with the model in order to construct different motion paths filters. As an aplication, we describe an algorithm to change automatically the time duration of a motion. We also point to interesting research directions on motion processing, using the model here introduced. In vivo comparison of CSPAMM and DENSE for cardiac motion analysis

Introduction Tagging has shown great promise for analyzing cardiac motion patterns [1]. Two different methods have been proposed to utilize the phase associated with harmonic modulation of magnetization to enable tissue tracking. Using Displacement ENcoding with Stimulated Echoes (DENSE) [2] tagged magnetization is demodulated by decoding gradients permitting motion tracking from the signal pha...

A Software for Prediction of Periodic Response of Non-linear Multi Degree of Freedom Rotors Based on Harmonic Balances

It is the purpose of this paper to introduce a computer software that is developed for the analysis of general multi degree of freedom rotor bearing systems with non-linear support elements. A numerical-analytical method for the prediction of steady state periodic response of large order nonlinear rotor dynamic systems is addressed which is based on the harmonic balance technique. By utilizing ...

Optimal Estimation of Harmonic Components Using ISFLA

In this paper a novel method based on evolutionary algorithms is presented to estimate the harmonic components. In general, the optimization of the harmonic estimation process is a multi-component problem, in which evaluation of the phase and harmonic frequency is the nonlinear part of the problem and is solved based on the mathematical and evolutionary methods; while estimation of amplitude of...

Motion estimation in the frequency domain using fuzzy c-planes clustering

A recent work explicitly models the discontinuous motion estimation problem in the frequency domain where the motion parameters are estimated using a harmonic retrieval approach. The vertical and horizontal components of the motion are independently estimated from the locations of the peaks of respective periodogram analyses and they are paired to obtain the motion vectors using a procedure pro...

Fault Locating in High Voltage Transmission Lines Based on Harmonic Components of One-end Voltage Using Random Forests

In this paper, an approach is proposed for accurate locating of single phase faults in transmission lines using voltage signals measured at one-end. In this method, harmonic components of the voltage signals are extracted through Discrete Fourier Transform (DFT) and are normalized by a transformation. The proposed fault locator, which is designed based on Random Forests (RF) algorithm, is train...
